Content:
The goal of this course is to help students develop a basic understanding of computational models in the study of human cognition and behavior.
The course will take the form of blocked events over three weekends, with respective asisgnment after each of the three lectures. Here is the preliminary schedule:
Meeting 1: The basics of the R software and review of probablity and statistics
Meeting 2: Quantitative modeling in psychology and cognitive sciences 1
Meeting 3: Quantitative modeling in psychology and cognitive sciences 2
All lectures, materials, and assignments are in English.
Evaluation:
There will be 3 assignments during the course of the semester. Each will count 1/3 towards the final grade.
Prerequisite: Calculus, probability theory
