Exam Dates 2025

The KIT-wide planning process for exams during the lecture-free period is conducted only for the exams of one semester at a time. The planning process is centrally organized. It is not intended for KIT faculties to make reservations outside the approved planning periods. However, internally, we have decided to plan for an entire calendar year in the preceding year and publish it without central confirmation. Experience shows that most dates are confirmed as planned. However, there is no guarantee. Exception: Main dates from the Bachelor's basic studies. The dates submitted for these have priority and are usually confirmed as planned.

Dates that have been agreed upon internally but not yet confirmed by KIT central are shown in blue text, and the "Time/Location" column also indicates this.

The page shows the last update date, so everyone has a hint if a relevant exam date might have changed since their last visit.

The planning was carried out under the assumption that the occupancy of the exam centers is possible under normal operations. Should a pandemic situation arise again contrary to this assumption, short-term changes are to be expected.

Alternative Exam Formats
Online examinations have established themselves as an alternative to previous examination formats in the coronavirus era. These remain a permissible option even without an emergency situation. However, the standard examination type for the examinations announced here remains the face-to-face examination (written or oral).
