Examination dates 2024

The new KIT-wide planning procedure for examinations in the lecture-free period is only ever carried out for the examinations of one semester. The planning procedure is centralized. It is not intended that the KIT faculties make reservations outside the released planning periods. Within the faculty, we have decided, as before, to at least plan for the entire calendar year and publish it without confirmation. We expect that most of the dates will be confirmed. Of course, there is no guarantee. Exception: main dates from the Bachelor's foundation course. The dates submitted for this have priority and are usually confirmed as planned.

For all dates that have only been coordinated internally but not yet confirmed centrally by KIT, this is indicated in the "Time/Location" list column.

Additions and changes are therefore easily possible. Changes compared to the first publication are marked in red in the list.

The last update date is shown on the page, so everyone has an indication of whether a relevant examination date may have changed since the last visit to the page.

The planning was carried out under the assumption that the test centers can be occupied during normal operation. If, contrary to this assumption, a corresponding pandemic situation arises again, changes must be expected at short notice.

Alternative examination formats
Online examinations have established themselves as an alternative to previous examination formats in the coronavirus era. These remain a permissible option even without an emergency situation. However, the standard examination type for the examinations announced here remains the face-to-face examination.
